Natural Resources

Natural Resources, also known as Environment, is defined as the circumstances, objects or conditions by which one is surrounded.

Our Agriculture and Natural Resources area supports small acreage management; home insect control (ants, termites, spiders, stored food pests, etc); water quality (pond management, native grasses; and natural resource management including nuisance wildlife (such as deer, chipmunks, moles, and snakes). The Extension Master Naturalist program also resides within this area.

Denise Dias is the Family and Consumer Sciences agent is responsible for Indoor Air Quality. Johnson County Extension teams with the Johnson County Environmental Department to assist residents with their questions and concerns about indoor air quality. There are two areas that cause particular concern: mold and radon.

No matter what you need, stop by, email or give us a call. We're here to help!
