Bluebird Educational Material

We instinctively smile when we see the flash of blue of the Eastern Bluebird.  Many people are familiar with the bluebird houses placed along trails throughout Johnson County, KS and all over the country.  But why are those houses there?  What makes bluebirds special?  And what can people do to help bluebirds and other wildlife?  This site is dedicated to teach educators about bluebirds and then to assist them in teaching students, not just in science, but in all subject areas, about these beautiful birds that “carry the sky upon their backs.”
