Kansas Forest Service - Conservation Tree and Shrub Seedling Program

These plants are to be used for conservation purposes such as:

  • Windbreaks
  • Woodlots
  • Wildlife habitat
  • Riparian (streambank) plantings
  • Christmas tree plantations
  • Establishing other related conservation practices.

They may not be sold as live plants.

Ordering Conservation Trees

The fall sale season for container-grown seedlings goes from September to mid-October. The spring sale season begins in early December and goes until May and includes bare root and container-grown seedlings.
