New JCEEF Members Swearing In 2023 JCEEF Members Swearing In

Like many organizations, January is the kickoff for new board leadership! The Johnson County Extension Council is composed of 24 members. Six members are elected in each of the four Extension Program Development Committees (PDC) which are: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Vitality.

The Extension Council represents the citizens of Johnson County, Kansas. They are the “voice” of the community, giving the agents and Extension Director feedback and guidance. They are made up of businesspeople, community leaders, producers, homemakers, teachers, etc. and have an interest in Extension.

On January 9th, our 2022 Extension Council executive board held it’s joint meeting with the new 2023 executive board members. This year we welcomed five new members onto the nine-person board.  Deputy County Clerk Lynda Sader was on hand to provide the Oath of Office for all executive board members.
