Program Description: Learn about some of the best management practices for ponds including a discussion on:
- Pond Construction
- Aquatic Weed Control: ID, control options, fountains and diffusers
- Pond Problems: Leaks, turbid water, trees
- Stocking/Fish Management
- Nuisance Wildlife: Beaver, muskrats
- Livestock Management: Waterers, fences
The class includes a lecture on pond management with plenty of time for questions. It also includes an opportunity to tour a local on-site pond to see plants and structures.
