Now Hiring: 4-H Office Professional
Johnson County K-State Research and Extension is seeking a detail-oriented and organized 4-H Office Professional to support the Johnson County 4-H Youth Development Program.
Working alongside the 4-H Youth Development Agents and program staff, this position helps coordinate the day-to-day operations that support youth, volunteers, and families involved in 4-H across the county.
The 4-H Office Professional assists with program administration, maintains databases and communications systems, coordinates registrations and documentation, and serves as a key point of contact for 4-H members and volunteers. This role also supports the front office by welcoming visitors and assisting the public.
This position plays an important role in ensuring that Johnson County youth ages 5–18 have access to high-quality 4-H programs that foster leadership, learning, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
The 4-H Office Professional will:
- Serve as a point of contact for 4-H families, volunteers, and clubs
- Coordinate registrations and maintain program databases including 4-H Online and PEARS
- Prepare routine documents, reports, and communications materials
- Assist with volunteer enrollment and retention tracking
- Manage mailing lists, website updates, and promotional materials
- Support youth and volunteer participation in regional, state, national, and international 4-H events
- Help ensure program policies and youth development best practices are followed
This position works closely with the Johnson County 4-H team, including two 4-H Youth Development Agents and program coordinators.
