monarch butterflyThe Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists, in association with Monarch Watch, are hosting a free, family-friendly Pollinator Event to say "hasta luego" to the magnificent Monarch butterfly!

  • 'Monarch Watch' demonstrations, including tagging and releasing monarchs.
  • “Caterpillar Wonders” by the Johnson County Extension Master Gardeners
  • Information on bird conservation efforts, including Bluebirds, Prothonotary Warblers, and Purple Martins.
  • Invasive plant species control strategies.
  • Rain Barrels with Johnson County Stormwater Management
  • Composting with Compost Collective KC
  • Soil Tunnel, walk through experience, with Johnson County Conservation District.
  • Exhibits by Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists include caterpillars, native bees, milkweed, native plants, water quality and more!
  • Games!
