Extension Master Gardener Speakers Bureau

Extension Master Gardeners speaker at Healthy Yards ExpoDoes your group need an educational program or speaker for a meeting? Try the Extension Master Gardener (EMG) Speakers' Bureau. Program speakers are trained by the Johnson County Extension Service and receive a minimum of 40 hours of training from Kansas State University plus, additional advanced training.

The Extension Master Gardener Program is a volunteer educational service with the mission of providing sound horticulture information to the residents of Johnson County. Presentations are informal using a variety of teaching methods depending on the speaker and setting. The presentations are informative, chock full of useful information and fun!

To arrange for your Extension Master Gardener's presentation, contact the Johnson County Extension Service. You will be put in contact with the volunteer coordinator for the Speakers' Bureau. The coordinator will then match your needs with one of our many speakers. We request that there be at least 10 people per presentation.

While no fees are charged for Extension Master Gardener presentations, any honoraria donated is greatly appreciated, and will go to providing reference materials and assisting the various programs sponsored by the Extension Master Gardeners.
