Wonderscope Garden

The Wonder Why Children’s Garden was opened in June of 2007 at Wonderscope Children’s Museum. The Wonder Why garden teaches children by immersing them in an exciting world of plants to foster a love of nature.

This garden may bring to mind some favorite children’s stories. The vegetable garden may remind you of Peter Rabbit. You might expect to see Dora the Explorer in the lush tropical garden, or Jack in the Bean Stalk crawling down the bean poles. The rose garden offers an inviting gazebo for an impromptu tea party, just like in Alice in Wonderland.  Soon we will be adding more trees to offer a shady place to sit and enjoy the garden.

The Wonder Why Extension Master Gardener team works on most Thursday mornings from April thru October.
