IRS Income Taxes Filed and Paid

The filing deadline to submit 2022 tax returns or an extension to file and pay tax owed is Tuesday, April 18, 2023, for most taxpayers. The Olathe Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is available through Saturday, April 15th. Johnson County Extension Office | Research and Extension | Kansas State University (k-state.edu)

If you your income taxes are completed, review your tax withholdings and update your W-4 if you want more or less money withheld from your paycheck. Adjusting withholdings will increase or decrease the refund amount you will get from the IRS each year.

2022 IRA contribution until April 18, 2023

If you still work, review the 2022 IRA contribution limits to make sure you are taking full advantage of the opportunity to save for your retirement.
