The 2018 Physical Activity guidelines were recently released. You can read the full report here.

The main message is that moving — in any fashion we can manage — is important. But we Americans are simply not doing enough of it. And with bitterly cold wintry months now upon us, the thought of doing anything but staying indoors under warm, snuggly blankets while possibly snacking on comforting and, most likely, calorie-laden nibbles and watching television, is just not appealing. Regardless, as the new guidelines inform us, moving is vital not only to our physical but also mental health.
