Family and Consumer Science Program Coordinator

Personal History/Background

Born and raised in Chanute, Kansas, Angie has always been an active investor in people and her community. She has carried this quality into her professional life. After graduating from Emporia State University, Angie became an Outreach Coordinator for the State of Kansas to help provide healthcare for children in need. During this time, Angie married her husband, Brian, and moved to Olathe where she became the Director of Community Relations for the Volunteer Center of Johnson County. In this position, Angie worked with over 250 nonprofit organizations to build their volunteer programs, as well as built relationships with corporate partners and served on various taskforces to promote volunteerism in the community. Angie and her husband are the proud parents of three children, Cole, Ty and Mia. Working with K-State Research and Extension continues to allow Angie to be active with volunteers and assist with programming in the community.

B.S., Psychology, Emporia State University
