Jessie Furgins

Jessie grew up in Paola, KS where she was an active member in the Miami County 4-H Program. During her time as a 4-H’er her projects were a little bit of everything (photography, cooking, sewing, plants, woodworking, etc.)  Jessie earned her bachelors from Kansas State University in Family Studies and Human Services with a minor in Animal Science. Knowing she wanted a career in Extension, Jessie did several internships in Kansas 4-H working in Ellis County, Riley County, and the State 4-H Office. She then worked as a 4-H agent in Oklahoma for four years, and then Missouri Extension for 6 years. In her spare time Jessie enjoys spending time with her dogs and chickens.
