The home buying process can be challenging. As the biggest investment most of us will ever negotiate, you want to be sure you are making the best decisions. Now imagine trying to work through a possible language barrier and some cultural differences. The challenge just got bigger.
Those are some of the reasons the Olathe Latino Coalition has decided to host a Hispanic Home Buying Expo on Saturday, April 30. As part of the coalition, K-State Research and Extension is helping to plan the event. Armed with speakers in Spanish and English, the afternoon program will help to educate buyers on the home buying process, credit and financing, and title and financial planning. There will also be a session on helping renters know their rights and responsibilities.
The expo will be held at the Kansas State University - Olathe campus just east of Kansas Highway 7 on College Boulevard. The event will be free of charge with workshop and vendors available to visit from 1 to 4 p.m.
